On April 28th, Bunker's walls will shake under the relentless pressure of hardcore techno, EBM and genre-denying experiments, delivered by Ophism records affiliates — Parrish Smith, Ceili — and its founder and ideamonger, Gaja.
>Parrish Smith, NL
Subtly blending genres of electronic music, the Dutch-Surinamese artist Parrish Smith creates sounds that tears down walls and prejudices, while escaping the biases found in contemporary techno. The true predominant factors in his music are emotion and intensity, which allow him to maneuver amongst different styles — from dance floor thumpers to noise, industrial and punk music, that influenced him early on. Parrish Smith's breakthroughs were highlighted by the closing performances at Lowlands and Dekmantel festivals last year and the recent ADE showcase at SXSW.

Massively influenced by the 90s and 00s club sounds, the Ireland-born artist Céilí has established himself with regular gigs at Corsica Studios in London. After releasing his acidic mini-album Aon Scéal via Ophism in 2020 and founding his own vinyl and digital V/A-focused imprint Mála Ádh, Céilí rightfully made it to DJ Mag's list of emerging artists. As a producer, Céilí delivers crunchy and perky techno athems, while letting completely himself loose during his captivating dj-sets.

After establishing himself as a key figure of Berlin's relentless techno scene at one of its epicenters — Tresor — Gaja now represents the harsh and chaotic side of contemporary dance music with his own production and releases via Ophism. His soundscapes are filled with distorted noise that replaces the once-familiar rhythms of drum kits, with bass permeating through everything. Yet, there's beauty in this mess — sudden hints of harmonic overtones, skillful modulation and a keen ear for experiments.
Ophism deals in raw uncompromising sounds and DIY-aesthetics, unwilling to conform to conventions of today's scene and releasing limited-edition cassette tapes and records designed by Gaja since 2015. Now, with over 30 articles behind its back — including releases by Dj Speedsick, Domenico Crisci and Dj Warzone among others, the label is about to deliver the most definitive showcase to date, brought together with troppus — the horizon-expanding collective, responsible for the last year's showcase of L.I.E.S. Records and the upcoming Sabbath Festival!
