ColorTV first birthday party With Tim Xavier (Clink Records , Ltd400)This June Bank Holiday see's Bodytonic host another Beatyard weekend in the Twisted Pepper. The aim of The Beatyard is to bring together enthusiasts of music, media & culture in a weekend of talks, exhibitions, workshops and live gigs. YES Festival are pround to host the closing night of the Beatyard with a host of Berlin based artists over three floors of quality Music.
The Basement and Box areas will see Color TV celebrate their 1st Birthday. On the bill downstairs is minimal trend setter Tim Xavier [cocoon / clink], who makes his Irish debut. Support comes from rising techno duo Hypertic and Color Tv residents Fredric, Con and Cian, as well as local hero Simon F. With a year of fantastic shows under their belt, this birthday bash is sure to be one to remember.
On the stage we will have a Dirt Crew recordings party featuring Mano Le Tough (Live) and Dirt Crew. Irish exile Mano Le Tough has been working out of Berlin for the last few years, producing great music for labels such as Prins Thomas' Internasjonal and Tensnakes Mirua imprint. His latest release, "Baby, Lets Love" is set for release June 21st on Dirt Crew recordings. Dirt Crew are now at the centre of sculpting Berlin’s future house sound. Mixing vintage house cuts with fresh off the press techno Dirt Crew are renowned for serving a truly eclectic mix of super slick vinyl.
Finally up top in the mezz will see Dublin club night Tea take over for a late night tipple. Residents – Mark Murphy, Phil Long, David Hargadon and Ste Downs will trash out their blend of groovy house and techno.
Also there will be 50 tickets available on the night, on a first come first served basis, for our next event in Eastpoint on June 12th, which features a host of local talent over two rooms. More information to follow.
