The legendary DJ SPUN will finally be gracing the helm in Los Angeles with his unrivaled plethora of cult breakbeat, acid, and disco knowledge garnered from 30 years rocking parties from Horsemeat Disco to Panorama Bar. With his own imprints, Rong Music and Promo Only, he integrally set the edit craze in motion in America, and has continuously been in alignment and collaboration with mega heroes of the scene like Daniel Wang, DJ Harvey, and Francois K. We are thrilled to be presenting DJ SPUN for a rare and extended set.
But if that wasn’t enough- we joyously celebrate our hometown hero TAVISH on his latest lap around the sun… and he will be on opening ceremony detail with TK as WAREHOUSE PRESERVATION SOCIETY as they unwaveringly set bodies in motion starting at 10pm..
But this ultimate dance event expands ever further, as we’ve called upon SHARIF LAFFREY and GALEN to rip the audience into a deeper full frenzy by dawn…
Originating in Detroit, SHARIF LAFFREY, of Love On The Rocks and ESP Institute fame, is one of the rarest talents to shred the dancefloor, and his records on his own Special Forces label have been furious mainstays in all deejay crates. As luck would have it, this will be the 3rd birthday jam he’s played TAVISH, and he has utterly annhialated each previous.
But lastly, Sunset Sound System’s very own king of the deep, GALEN will also be joining us in the hot pursuit of irresistible body motion. He needs little intro, and is a true and living legend of the west coast.
We feel beyond lucky to have this lineup and we will be setting it off early so join us from the top cuz you won’t want to miss a single beat.
