Discotizer is back to Marula Club Madrid. This time Javi Frias will be sharing the decks with two of the best DJ/Producers of the Spanish disco and house scene: Rafa Santos from MATE Records and Manuel Costela from Bucketround/2phonic Recordings for a night of dancing and hedonism.
RAFA SANTOS

His music has strokes from Chicago and Detroit full of hypnotic chords and loads of groove.Resident Dj in the emblematic “Café Oliver” from 2002 to closed 2008Resident Dj in the last season of “Deep” one of the most important parties of the capital.As a guest Dj Rafa has played in Replay Sunset Parties, Sonar + D (Madrid), Tentacle Summer Fest (Lugo), Café del Mar (Tarifa), Ku (Alicante), Pacha, Kapital, Goya Social Club, Stella, Coppellia, Pasapoga, Studio 76, Empire, Evaristo, Siroco, Nubel, Radio, Sagan, Comba, Hotel Me, Club Matador, Taboo, Café la Palma….In his beginnings creates Great Plan label focused on House, Deep-House and Nu-Disco with releases by Pete Herbert, OOFT!, Marcin Czubala, Tiger Stripes, Michelle Owen…Nowadays he is the manager and a&r of Mate a vinyl only House and Deep-house music label focused in classic and underground vibes. In his roster you can find artist like a Javonntte, Reggie Dokes, Gari Romalis, Garret David, Jesús Gonsev, Manuel Costela..He has made compilations to diferents hotels, restaurants and clubs in Madrid (Urban, Ene, Hand Made) and has worked like a dj for important brands as a Coke, Ron Barcelo, Moet Chandon, Veuve Cliquot, Kenzo….As an Audio Enginer teaches Electronic Music Production at the prestigious Sae Institute Madrid.
MANUEL COSTELA
Manuel Costela is a Spanish producer from Madrid.
His music is mostly Deep house with touches of Funk & Grooves.
At a very young age, he started the Bucketround label.
Which currently goes by the tenth reference and only produces Vinyl format.
Bucketround was born from the initial idea of merging funk with Deep house music, publishing works of artists who are able to risk a bit in music production and to create a community of famous artists, collaborating with producers that are emerging right now.
He started his electronic music carrier using an alias:
Oval Future Face (O.F.F) which focused on exploring darker sounds.
His last project is a new digital label, called 2phonic Recordings, this is created to discover new talented artists, based on electronic music, experimenting with different pre-defined styles.
He has worked and is working in countless labels of international prestige some of them are: TH Pressing (Japan), Sub_Urban, Trax Records, Deep Explorer Music, Mate Recordings, Nang Records, Deepart Sounds, Black Jack Records, Melodica Records, Klassik (Chicago), Plastik People, Rare Wiri, Open Sound, B2 Recordings, Moiss Music, Lisztomania, Hot Digits, Delve Deeper, Deep Sense, MoodyHouse, Spa In Disco, Cyanide, Closer To Truth, Cenital Music, Real Balearic, Personal Belongings, Black Riot, Moulton Music (San Francisco) and more.
And has collaborated with a lot of great artists, such as: K Alexi Shelby, Dubbyman, Above Smoke, Ney Faustini, Danielle Baldelli, Reggie Dokes, Dj Rocca, Pablo Bolivar, Rayko, Tominori Hosoya, and many many more.
Actually Manuel presents a weekly program broadcast on Balearica Music Radio from Ibiza with his friend Rafa Santos.
For 2023 he is working on new special collaborations with Robert Owens (Musical Directions), K Alexi, Jamie Anderson, Dj Rocca and Tominori Hosoya.
JAVI FRIAS
Javi Frias is a well respected DJ and producer from the disco and house scene. He began collecting and playing records as a young ‘soul boy' at the end of the nineties in Madrid, his hometown, and since then he has not stopped traveling to share his music through many venues, clubs and festivals worldwide. New York, Cairo, London, Mexico City, Paris, Barcelona, Washington DC, Amsterdam or Berlin are some of the places where he has had the opportunity to carry out his incendiary, eclectic and danceable sets full of disco, boogie, afro, funk, house and soulful sounds.
In the past few years he has begun to make noise at international level thanks to his edits and reworks, published a handful of EPs and singles on influential labels like Street Edits, Tropical Disco Records, Giant Cuts, Midnight Riot, Boogie Café or Bons Records. His music is played and charted regularly by top DJs such Danny Krivit, Detroit Swindle, Red Greg, Horse Meat Disco, Jacques Renault, Rahaan, Marcel Vogel, Folamour, Get Down Edits, Frank Booker...
In 2017 he started his own label Night Shift Records, devoted to edits and reworks of disco and house, where he has released in vinyl and digital his own productions and occasionally the work of other fellow producers. He's also part of the mysterious Disco Pocho label, focused on the soul and funk side of the disco edit, where he has already released a couple of 7”.
He is currently resident DJ and booker of Discotizer, the best disco, boogie and house party in Spain currently taking place at El Sotano, where he has invited and shared the decks with artists like Louie Vega, Joey Negro, Danny Kirivit, Eli Soul Clap, Detroit Swindle, Rahaan, Red Greg, HMD, Eli Escobar, Dan Shake, Medlar, Jacques Renault, Get Down Edits, Marcel Vogel, Ron Basejam, Art Of Tones, Luxxury, Alkalino, Eddie C, Faze Action, Dicky Trisco, The Revenge, Mr. Mendel, Alexander Nut, Ray Mang, Kon, Luke Solomon, Melvo Baptiste, Dr. Packer...
