Marking their UK debut, we are stoked to present a live performance from New Zealand-natives, ‘Hysterical Love Project’ (aka Brooklyn Mellar & Ike Zwanikken). Off the back of their second studio album via Los Angeles-based Motion Ward, they’ve been steadily touring their fresh take on shoegaze, dream-pop and smudged downtempo across the globe: from LA, to NYC, Berlin, Amsterdam and now Glasgow.
We’ll also be joined by Berlin keller-dweller, ‘vase’ (aka Jorge Camacho). As the mastermind of an assortment of musical projects via INDEX:Records & Appendix.files, this bloke is truly one of the illest. He’ll be showcasing ‘usiq’ – a Max/MSP device he created when he switched on his genius button one time.
If that wasn’t enough, Ike will also be performing a solo live set of introspective ambient. His productions have featured in many a co:clear DJ set, so it couldn’t be more fitting.
Visuals on the night will be a collaboration between Jordan McCrae & Conna Haraway.
