• Starting at 11am The BBQ's Get Hot and the Hills will be alive with the sound of Tech house Minimal and techno. DAEGON(Machine Box, Small Room Music) Denver Daegon (AKA Chad Kaska), born may 10, 1987 in Denver CO, was turned on to electronic music in 2000 at the age of 13. He developed a deep interest in all forms of electronic music as it resonated with a part of him from his peculiar childhood which was littered with unexplainable (and possibly other-worldy) events. Suspected alien exploitation through various unknown means has now led Daegon (AKA Chad Kaska) to produce a unique quality throughout his productions. Speculation on the events that have led to his production methods range from alien matter left behind during probing to a supposed neurological rewiring of sorts... Chad began mixing records in 2006 and felt a draw to produce his own music in the key of minimal. "I was looking for a specific sound and a way to express myself. In 2008 is when I really started to produce... A sound that comes from the depths." Within a short period of time he has caught the distinguishing ear of renowned producers and discerning fans alike. He has released on respected labels such as Machine Box, Smallroom, Googoo Records and Fourth Kind. Serious when approaching the knobs, he lets loose his repertoire of dark slamming noise upon the crowd. His performances are an experience with a telling vibe and an inspiration evoked from the unknown. SUPERKONDUKTOR (Ireland)(U-Bahng, RE~SET) Simon Moore began his love affair with techno at a young age frequenting Shine in Belfast, Ireland (one of the longest running nights in the UK). With huge influences from American based artists such as Green Velvet he developed a love for hard percussive house. As time passed, he discovered the complexity of modern minimal techno through icons such as Richie Hawtin and Adam Beyer. Having travelled the world extensively as a professional rock climber and Dj he became entranced with modern sounds which linked all his other favorite music together. For the last year Simon has been working in the studio and playing parties in his native country of Ireland. Having recently made the move to San Francisco, Superkonduktor wasted no time immediately bringing talent with him such as Kyle Geiger for his U-BAHNG event. He intends to develop his sound infinitely further and orchestrate forward thinking events in the Bay Area conductive to his musical passion for solid techno. vs. RODRIGO QUINONEZ (Sonus, RE~SET) Rodrigo is definitely someone who should be listened to closely. Influenced by a wide variety of music -ranging from deep house to much darker and assertive notes- he crosses many music styles, making his sound hard to pigeonhole. As a constant, his signature approach to heavy rhythm always pulses through-At 14 he became aware of house and techno, consequently growing incredibly fond of electronic music. The idea of controlling/finessing sound surely became the main interest in his life and in the recent years he has dedicated his time to understanding audio technology. Along with a few other compatible artists he hosts the bi-weekly party 'SONUS' in Berkeley, CA with the intention of expanding the techno presence in the SF East Bay. By ignoring the bandwagon, he's kept true to a darker style, always administering a heavy drop in his groove. He continuously takes energetic sound home to El Salvador with his techno affair 'RESET'. Back there he's debuted at popular and curve-shifting weekly and monthly parties as well as much larger scale events held in San Salvador's nightlife hot spots. He's shared stages with renowned artists such as Carl Cox, Donald Glaude, as well as some talented fellow locals. Adapting quickly to various crowds he's earned fruitful recognition. Inevitably, the intent to draw from energy in subtleties has made innovation his main goal. Inspired by the continuous degree of experimentation in the techno/house realm and stirred by the on-going minimalist sounds, Rodrigo is always pushing himself think and step forward.
