Páula, Povoa und Jerge sind PPJ, ein Pariser Trio, das Neoperrero, harten Techno und den Pop der Electroclash-Zeit vereint. Auf ihrer aktuellen Debüt EP Bloco Vol. 1 gibt es zuckersüße Technopop-Songs wie “Bicha” (portugiesisch für “queer”) und düstere, von Páulas Vocals befeuerte Tracks mit freidrehenden Rhythmen, brasilianisch anmutenden Percussions und vollem Trillerpfeifen-Einsatz. PPJ treten zur heutigen Klubnacht live in der Säule auf. Zum ersten Mal live im Berghain spielt das italienische Duo Fireground, das mit seinem treibenden 90s Techno inklusive Detroit-geschulten Synth-Einsätzen perfekt auf Tresor und Ilian Tape passt, auf denen sie auch ihre letzten EPs veröffentlicht haben. Ready in LED ist das Projekt der ukrainischen Sängerin Olya Dibrova, die auf ihren bisher veröffentlichten drei EPs einen überaus einnehmenden Italo-Disco- und Dance-Pop-Sound fährt, der einen aus dem Stand in einen glückseligen Arpeggio-Himmel katapultiert – heute Nacht live in der Panorama Bar.
Páula, Povoa and Jerge are PPJ, a Parisian trio combining neoperrero, hard techno and electroclash-era pop. Their recent debut EP Bloco Vol. 1 features sugary sweet techno-pop songs like “Bicha” (Portuguese for “queer”) and gritty tracks fueled by Páula's vocals with freewheeling rhythms, Brazilian-style percussion and full-on whistle blasts. Playing live at Berghain for the first time is Fireground, whose driving 90s techno features Detroit-schooled use of synths – a perfect fit for Tresor and Ilian Tape, the labels that released the Italian duo's most recent EPs. Ready in LED is the project of Ukrainian singer Olya Dibrova, who on her three EPs so far purveys a supremely engaging sound built on Italo-disco and dance-pop, catapulting you from a standing start into blissful arpeggio heaven – also playing live tonight at Panorama Bar.
