Joining forces from across the pond, the Copenhagen and Manchester party series invite Munich native Konrad Wehrmeister to Soup for the 26th of August.
Never lacking in affect nor foregoing character. Whether its deftly saturated Dub, muscled up steppers, intimate studies in rhythm, or tricked out ambient, Konrad Wehrmeister’s sonic signature carries with it a lively and atmospheric character, at once disembodied and yet purposefully human. In an age oversaturated with the mundane, KW has managed to carve himself a curious niche in the landscape of electronic music. A mainstay across numerous recordings on Munich based Ilian Tape from his mystifying debut ‘5050’ to the most recent essential-club-toolkit ‘ALTGR’, other must-mentions include 2019’s ‘Radiation’ on hundert and 2016’s ‘002_the machine dream’ on VE-302.
An ode-on-two-legs to the gravitational nexus of techno, dub, and ambient, fusing them all into some of the most consistent mentally and physically stimulating club hybrids out there, we’re ecstatic to bring him to the Soup basement.
