Likeminded Musics Summer Closing Party
After a great season of multiple sell out shows we want to mark the end of the 2023 summer season with a bang!
We are excited to be back at the Old Kent Market! A venue with unique charm and vibrant atmosphere not often utilised for evening events!
The party will be powered by a Void sound system and plenty of lighting for a full club transformation. There will be multiple quirky bars including a double decker bus and one of the smallest pubs in the u.k
We have one hell of a lineup with some great djs and producers and live Sax included, all representing our signature house and techno sound!

INLAND KNIGHTS
[Drop Music // Smokescreen Soundsystem]
Inland Knights- legendary DJ's, producers, party throwers and label bosses, join us for this extraordinary party. Their label, Dropmusic, has gone on to become one of the most highly regarded house music labels, just as they have become two of the most respected DJ's on the underground circuit. The pair first met in ‘93, cutting their teeth DJing for the legendary Smokescreen Soundsystem; the renegade sound system from which they drew their early inspiration. With origins in Sheffield in the early '90s, Smokescreen flew in the face of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act, putting on legendary parties in warehouses, fields and quarries. In ’98 with the release of ‘Inland Knights - Vol 1’, Laurence and Andy launched Drop Music which has gone on to become one of the most highly regarded house labels of all time, with Inland Knights themselves cemented as one of the most respected and prolific production outfits in the world. They're a name that resonates with those who know in the house sphere, touring the globe and releasing an extensive, flawless back catalogue of timeless classics for decades upon decades.
DOM JOHNSON [Likeminded Music]
Likeminded Music Co founder and joint label manager. Long term DJ and party starter based in Margate. With house and techno at his core Dom’s sets are known for their energy and intricacy as he explores the full range and scope of electronic dance. Dom’s played up and down the U.K and abroad including hosting and playing out of many of the top clubs and party spaces in the south/south east.
JUSTIN RANDALL [Your House or Mine]
For many years, Justin has been in and around the Kent underground house and techno scene.
First and foremost a DJ with sublime dedication to his craft, Justin has held residencies in London, Maidstone and across Kent. Justin is founder and owner of the long-running and ever popular brand “Your House Or Mine”. When it comes to music production, Justin’s sound is minimal and intricate. In July 2023, his track “Get Set” was signed to highly acclaimed German record label “Traum Schalleplatten”.
JIMMY READ [Digital Soul]
London Based Dj,Producer, Label owner, Radio Host and promotor Jimmy Read (Digitalsoul) promoting events since the 90's Grew up Listening to his older brothers soul, Teddy Riley and 90's new jack city sounds but partying with friends in warehouses as house music exploded in all its various forms.
A progression to soulful house was the result.

TASTY SAX (Live Saxophone and DJ Set)
Hamish aka Tasty Sax has been playing the saxophone since his hands were big enough to hold one. Though trained in Jazz and Classical he found his true calling in Disco and House Music. He Discovered “Jack who had a groove”, he screamed “So tell me how do you do?” with Julie McKnight and he’s been “The Man With The Red Face” many times over. Soon discovering the art of blending tracks, he incorporated live mixing with his saxophone to take his performances to a higher level of energy. Cutting his teeth with a residency at the Skinny Kitchen in London, many private and public events up and down the U.K over the last years. Hamish has been honing his craft and discovering the styles of House that resonate with him most. He looks forward to sharing his Musical Mindset with Like Minded People this September.
DARREN FULLER
With over 20 years experience in djing he began DJing in the 90s playing large local clubs and ventured into London and the occasional gigs abroad included Greece and Ibiza. Influences across those years for me have been what now are classed as pretty much Legends in the industry. Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Tiesto. He ha played for Hed Kandi, Fierce Angel, Ministry of Sound, the old Turnmills which we all miss, and supported some great acts like Tall Paul, Sister Bliss, Stefano Noferini and Mark Doyle. He’s recently turned to making music and looking to launch his Ruokki project in the coming months with some releases of his own. Listen out for some original music on the night.
