Greco-German indie label Iptamenos Discos is bringing their event series Iptamenos Discotek for the first time to Vienna, Austria on September 30th, 2023 with another stacked lineup on Sass Music Club’s holy grounds.
Join us and embark on a sonic journey filled with dark disco, deep techno, Italo disco and EBM, carefully curated by your selectors: Local matadors Wiener Planquadrat and label heads Local Suicide.
The accomplished DJ & producer couple Local Suicide will take you on an eclectic and compelling journey through an array of electronic sounds representing the Berlin sound. Their DJ career has carried them to all four corners of the world, whipping crowds into a frenzy at Lollapalooza, Melt!, ADE, Off Sonar, Festival Forte, Berlin Festival and almost every club the German capital has to offer. Their live cuts have been honed to perfection with years of shows alongside the very best in the scene, even being invited by New Order to warm up for their live performance. This hectic schedule has taken them across Europe, Asia, North Africa, South America and the United States. With solo & collaborative releases with Curses, Theus Mago, Lena Platonos, Hard Ton, The Hidden Cameras, Rodion, Alejandro Paz, Thomass Jackson, Skelesys & more on labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Multi Culti, Duro, Ombra INTL, Lumière Noire, Eskimo, AEON, Ransom Note & TAU the powerhouse duo had numerous releases reaching the top 10 iTunes, Beatport & Juno charts and had massive editorial playlist support by Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music and Deezer.
Never failing to craft an enthralling musical experience, we are excited to present Wiener Planquadrat the duo from Vienna, with their new live set and a DJ set on top! Iptamenos Discos regulars known for their releases featuring vibrant and radiant pads, spirited andnostalgic vocals, and lively percussion, their set will bring a rich sound and euphoric energy over the dancefloor. Their debut single Stillstand, which was released in 2021 was well received internationally and climbed Austrian as well as German dance charts right away. While pushing their boundaries a bit further with their follow up EP Dschungel which was released in 2022 and got remixed by artists like T.Raumschmiere, Tech Support or Birds, they continuously keep remixing and collaborating with acts such as Local Suicide, Oberst & Buchner, Kalipo, Dina Summer, Ali X or You Man.
