Cycle Four revolves around the themes of nightlife and electronic music as a means of expressing identity and cultural heritage. It started with a series of events hosted by Cellini at the Brussels nightclub Fuse. Cycle Four showcases percussion-based music and a range of genres including House, Garage and Techno celebrating eclectic influences like Breakbeat, Folk and Jungle. Its overarching concept celebrates cultural diversity and exchange by merging European dancefloor-ready styles with various musical traditions.
Cyle Four’s roots lie in the local history of a Belgian coal-mining region that drew workers and their families from mostly Mediterranean and Arabic regions in the mid 1900’s. The descendants of these individuals, now representing the fourth generation incorporate this fusion into their creative work. The eternal return prevails.
