CEEPHAX ACID CREW LIVE(Rephlex Records / Planet Mu)
First class knob twiddler, all-round master of vintage drum machines and synthesizers, the undisputed king of the 303 and a man who knows how to throw a freakin' party, Ceephax Acid Crew is making his long-overdue Portsmouth debut.
Ceephax's shows are set apart from the popular laptop style of live electronic performance by exclusively using only analogue and early digital equipment, occasionally an old Amiga computer and more often-than-not a harmonica accompanied by brief moments of random ranting. His sets range from old school house, acid house, techno to drum and bass and gabba, all in Ceephax's distinctive style, big ass squechy acid vibes.
12 years of releases on many of electronic music's finest labels including Aphex Twin's Rephlex Records, Warp Records, Planet Mu and Wrong Music, new material in the pipeline and always a huge crowd pleaser, you would be a fool of epic proportions to miss out on this right 'ere!

On this splendid eve you will also find yourself generously assaulted by Brighton's DARKNESS (The Regime) who plays what can only be described as dark as muck dnb. Think Current Value, Cooh, Limewax, Lucio De Rimanez and Donny... this will indeed be darkness. Returning to the Ugly Beats booth is RUINED JON who you may remember from his bangin hardcore set on the night we brought Remarc to town. Residents FOTZA and UDY will be getting things rollin' nicely with a healthy slice of old skool, dubstep and wobbly goodness.
