We got to be honest with you. Last Bredren Invites was a bit of a switch in gears regarding the series for us. We already had been thinking to add a bit more variety to our nights and focus less on bringing only drum & bass and the usual suspects over to make the flyer worthwhile. So we tried out a slightly different approach by programming names like Dub Phizix, Strategy, Diane, Adri & Zeets. Let’s say it was a careful experiment in a new direction and we weren’t certain if it would catch on..
It was one of the most successful and memorable nights we’ve had up until now.
Drum & bass (and by extension most modern and electronic music) finds it’s origins in a wide variety of genres and is still influenced heavily by different styles of music today. Our own music has also been influenced by different strains of sound and we think it wouldn’t be fair not to share and discover these together with you.
So we wanted to continue this new saga by laying out an even more versatile mix of artists. Also rethinking our overall look. Something more fitting to what we will be bringing over the next editions.
We think our concept is only unfolding now. Evolving into something that reaches out further than only the 170 realm.
And what’s more beautiful than bringing different scenes and thus people with a different background together. It’s a reflection of what we like to hear apart from drum & bass as well. It makes things more interesting for all of us we believe.
For future events you’ll be able to expect gradually expanding and very well thought out line ups with subtle progression throughout the night and hopefully we can make you unearth music and artists that we have been following and supporting over the years.
We truly hope you will appreciate this and thank you all to be a part of this journey with us.
