Brooklyn Sway Records Showcase

  • Brooklyn Sway Records is back at the cozy Mansions in Ridgewood for another Thursday night jam, this time enlisting David Paglia, Jay Prouty, and Nico Lorenzi. Nico will be joining BK Sway artists and frequent collaborators David Paglia and Jay Prouty, who have produced a number of tracks together over the years, including a limited-edition vinyl only white label titled "Dojo Sessions Vol.1" back in 2015, which was a highly sought after bootleg release featuring reworks of Outkast's "Spottie Ottie Dopalicious", Herb Alpert's "Love Is", and Goodie Goodie's classic disco jam "It Looks Like Love", as well as "Style" on Boston-based Cenote Records, also in 2015. More recent collaborations include "Do You Know?" on Jay's Brooklyn Sway Records imprint BKS-01, as well as "Tony Was Here" featuring Greg Paulus on trumpet, also on BKS-01. David has contributed a number of tracks to Brooklyn Sway with an upcoming release titled "Spellbound" which will be available on BKS-05 in early 2024. Brooklyn Sway is a vinyl only record label that features primarily local NYC artists, typically in a various artists format. Previous artists who have contributed include St. Xose, DeWinter, Elon, VAVAV, Vivan Wang, Emma, Pablo Romero, M.P.C., Simon Heyliger, and of course NYC muralist and street art legend CERN, who contributes label art on every release. Our latest release BKS-04 includes tracks from Ohm Hourani and live electronic band N/UM. Brooklyn Sway releases are available on most major online retailers (Juno, Decks.de, Phonica) and locally at Human Heads Records, Archivio Records, and Octopus Records to name a few. *Mansions is a safe space for everyone; for all to feel free and to be themselves. If you feel anyone has violated this policy or made you feel uncomfortable, please report to a manager, security, or bartender.
