Municipal awakens from its summer slumber, with two special nights to round off 2023.
For our first night on November 18th, we’re thrilled to welcome Robert Witschakowski, aka THE EXALTICS for a live performance at Cobalt Studios. A master of the hybridised techno/electro sound, where bouncy basslines and glassy stabs interweave through pulsating 808 drum patterns.
We’re also super excited to bring Anastasia Vtorova, aka MACHINE WOMAN to Newcastle for the first time. MACHINE WOMAN tracks navigate the fringes of techno, with a definite tendency toward more minimal structures, and a shunning of trends. Anastasia hosts a monthly show on Rinse FM and runs a brilliantly eclectic cassette label; Take Away Jazz Records.
