Our final event of 2023 is a special one. On Friday 1st December we return to the immersion of Star & Shadow Cinema for a night of heady, kaleidoscopic techno, with two hugely influential artists.
RROSE transcends techno’s conventional frameworks with a unique approach to sound design and structure. We are elated! to have RROSE perform live in Newcastle.
Guy Brewer aka SHIFTED has made a significant contribution over the last decade, both with his own productions and with his universally cherished label, Avian. SHIFTED tracks always stand out. With their ingenious rhythmic structures and hypnotic manipulation of texture, Guy’s productions demonstrate an ear for quality and invention that evidently also drives forth his label. Avian has released incredible records by SHXCXCHCXSH, Reeko, Rhyw, SØS Gunver Ryberg, to name a few, and is a go-to for anyone interested in the experimental, innovative fringes of techno. The Reeko records in particular are big favourites here at Municipal HQ.
