From October 5th to 8th, 2023, LaVallée presents the second edition of the multidisciplinary In.out.sider festival, which promotes diversity through an eclectic and inclusive program. The festival offers an innovative program that is far from the classic mainstream line-ups. Experimental live performances, hybrid sets with unknown sounds, and musical experiments invite the audience to keep an open mind to discoveries. In addition to the musical programming that forms the core of the event, In.out.sider also offers film screenings followed by discussions, an exhibition, and workshops. The event is co-organized by LaVallée and Urban Boat (France) and is entirely free.
The musical lineup, curated in part by the Berlin-based artist Zoë McPherson, brings together Belgian and international artists with varied and surprising styles. Their commonality? Questioning the concepts of "outsider" and "margin," whether through innovative musical practices or hybrid sounds like those presented by Nazar and Mun Sing, or with artists with disabilities like the Belgians Chevalier Surprise and Wanino. The Friday evening will be concluded by the iconic Dutch artist, DJ Marcelle.
