A deep connection with Italo disco in the early naughties kept Ali busy for some time with his band, Heartbreak and has since released a solo album and a number of EPs under different guises, Cestrian, Parasols & of course his Ali Renault alias as well as starting his own labels, Vivod and Hearse putting out fresh music from all walks of the electro galaxy. Ali Renault conjures up some spellbinding atmospheres from his synths across the whole EP, proving his place at the forefront of stripped back synth gear for those who like it a little darker. An impressive understanding of the four corners of the electro galaxy in Detroit, Rimini, Den Haag and London has permeated all Renault material and is certainly evident in his productions.
