Further Irish debuts come from Danish sound artist and ambient producer Sofie Birch, Scottish-born, Danish-raised composer Clarissa Connelly who received the Nordic Music Prize in 2021 for her acclaimed experimental folk album The Voyage. New York-based singer-songwriter and woozy R&B producer Dawuna, innovative Japanese sound artist and instrument builder Yosuke Fujita aka FUJI|||||||||||TA and invigorating young Preston born producer Rainy Miller who has collaborated with Blackhaine (as featured at Haunted Dancehall 2022) and whose most recent release with Space Afrika Maybe It’s Time to Lay Down the Arms features Mica Levi. Haunted Dancehall is a project supporting the work of the Night-Time Economy Taskforce and sees the National Cultural Institutions collaborate with more diverse partners and open up the spaces to new artists. Other domestic highlights include a rare Irish show from Wicklow raised Cosha who skates an invisible line between mainstream and experimental R&B and has collaborated with such forward-facing producers as Rostan, Vegyn and Shygirl. Limerick producer, DJ and turntablist Naive Ted has long since been considered an underground legend by those in the know for his dancefloor wrecking sets of esoteric music presented in the quickmix style with skills honed in the competitive world of DJ battles will perform two of his last ever sets. Soria will bring her minimal instrumental voice and field recordings infused live set. Connemara experimentalist Olan Monk will also be joining us, as well as Dublin multi-instrumentalist and ambient legend Gareth Quinn Redmond, and emerging Dublin-based producer Spooklet who marries techno, grime and punk into her self-released singles.
