Rick is one of the most sought-after remixers in Dance Music today. As a DJ, he delivers deep sets tinged with funk, soul, and just the right amount of techno, keeping devotees dancing all night. Disfunktional is a multicultural 3 piece DJ crew that plays True House Music with passion, skill, respect, and reverence for the culture and history of House Music. Founded by DJ MIKEONE, he is flanked by DJs Red Tailed Hawk Luna and Andre Leone. Collectively the trio represents Newcastle (UK), Cleveland (OH), Chicago (IL) and Maui/Oahu(HI).
The Disfunktional sound can be described as the intersection of True House Music's raw roots and its more finely polished modernity. Disfunktional has been in residency for over 2 years in the House of Blues Cleveland's Foundation room. Disfunktional members have supported major DJ’s across the United States, UK, and Europe at various clubs and festivals. They have shared bills with artists such as: Masters at Work, DJ Minx, Graeme Park, Dave Haslam, Terry Hunter, Gene Farris, Terrence Parker, Diz, Ash Lauren, Marques Wyatt, K Alexi Shelby, Mark Farina, Roy Davis Jr, Bonobo, and Titonton Duvante. What sets apart the Disfunktional crew is their sense of flow and intentionality. Behind the decks they thoughtfully choose, play, and mix tracks to establish a proper dialogue with the dancefloor in the spirit of all the great DJs who laid the foundation for the contemporary culture.
