Music-centered platform "AVYSS" celebrates its 5th anniversary since its launch with an anniversary party "AVYSS X" at Shibuya WWW X on November 18 at midnight. This time, COUCOU CHLOE from London and Meth Math from Mexico will visit Japan. More than 30 artists, mainly those with a connection to AVYSS, will gather from Japan for a birthday party with a soft determination and a desire to face the unknown (X) to the extent possible, while chewing on and looking ahead to the present and a little bit of the future, without summarizing the past five years too much.
AVYSS X" will have two floors, X and 4F, and each DJ on the X floor will be accompanied by a different VJ and video, creating a visually varied production. The flyer was created by Kazuma Watanabe, who also created the visuals for Minna no Kimochi. The timetable and merchandise commemorating the event will be released at a later date.
COUCOU CHLOE is a French singer/producer/dark romantic icon based in London. She previously worked with Sega Bodega as the unit Y1640, and is one of the founders of the NUXXE label with Sega Bodega and Shygirl. In recent years, he has remixed Lady Gaga and collaborated with COBRAH and Eartheater. He has also collaborated with Prada and Gucci, and is widely known in the fashion industry as a model.
Meth Math was born in Hermosillo, the capital of Sonora, Mexico, and grew up in the punk and rave scene. His music has been called indie demolition of Latin music, demonic neopeleo, and more, blending Witchmode, Latin, and indie in a unique balance. They have collaborated with Sega Bodega, Dinamarca, Machine Girl, and others. Ángel Ballesteros, the vocalist, is the creator of Angel Baby, a fashion label favored by Rihanna, and also runs an art gallery in Mexico City. The release of their debut album is currently awaited.
音楽を中心としたプラットフォーム「AVYSS」が立ち上げから5周年を迎え、11月18日の深夜に渋谷WWW Xにてアニバーサリーパーティー「AVYSS X」を開催。今回はロンドンよりCOUCOU CHLOE、メキシコよりMeth Mathが来日する。国内からはAVYSSに所縁のあるアーティストを中心に30名以上が集結。5年間をそれほど総括せずに、現在と少しの未来を噛み締めたり見据えたりしながら、出来る範囲で未知のもの（X）に向き合いたい気持ちと柔らかい決意のお誕生日会。
「AVYSS X」はXと4Fの2フロア制。Xフロアに出演するDJにはそれぞれ別のVJや映像がつき、視覚的にバリエーションが富んだ演出となる。フライヤーはみんなのきもちのヴィジュアルを手掛けるKazuma Watanabeが制作。イベントを記念したグッズやタイムテーブルなどは後日公開予定。
COUCOU CHLOEは、フランス出身でロンドン拠点に活動するシンガー/プロデューサー/ダーク・ロマンティック・アイコン。以前はSega Bodega とのユニットY1640としても活動し、Sega BodegaやShygirlと共にレーベル〈NUXXE〉を立ち上げた1人。近年ではLady Gagaのリミックスを手掛け、COBRAHやEartheaterと共作も行っている。また、プラダやグッチともコラボレーションをし、モデルとしても活動するなどファッション業界でも、その名は広く知られている。
Meth Mathはメキシコ・ソノラ州の州都エルモシージョ出身、パンクとレイヴのシーンで育った。その音楽はラテン・ミュージックのインディ悪魔解体、デモニック・ネオペレオなどと呼ばれ、ウィッチモードとラテンとインディがユニークなバランスで溶け合う。これまでにSega Bodega、Dinamarca、Machine Girlなどとコラボレーション。ボーカルのÁngel Ballesterosは、リアーナも愛用するファッション・レーベル〈Angel Baby〉を手掛け、アートギャラリーの運営もメキシコシティで行っている。現在デビューアルバムのリリースが待たれている。
