Lapsus and Goodness team up for a very special event at Studio 9294 in Hackney Wick, the official London launch party of the release 𝙬𝙞𝙥𝙀'𝙤𝙪𝙩'' - 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙕𝙚𝙧𝙤 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙠 by Lapsus Records.
wipE’out” was a futuristic, anti-gravity racing video game which gained a cult following in the late 90s, and contributed to the launch of the PlayStation in Europe and North America in 1995. Blending scifi futurism with current trends in rave music, wipE’out” became something of an icon of late-millennium digital culture. Tim Wright, also known as 𝐂𝐨𝐋𝐃 𝐒𝐓𝐨𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐄, was the composer behind much of the soundtrack, fusing dnb and trance into a sonic speedworld that matched the speed of the game.
This release features re-mastered versions of these now-iconic CoLD SToRAGE tracks, as well as remixes from nu-school futurists Kode9, μ-Ziq, Brainwaltzera, Simo Cell, Wordcolour, James Shinra, Surgeons Girl and Datassette.
On December 8th, an allstar team has been assembled to celebrate.
The night will also feature a 𝙜𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙯𝙤𝙣𝙚, where you’ll have the chance to play the OG wipE'out'' game in real time.
