We invite you all to the final event of this year that is taking place on the 1st of December 2023 at Volks in Brighton.
A night of sound system music at a 300-capacity venue powered by custom-built setups — King Original Soundsystem in the main room & 30 Hz Soundsystem in the basement and to spice things up, the sonic journey is led by live 3D visuals in the main room.
King Original Soundsystem, once the biggest soundsystem in East London, has been recently relaunched by Grime legend Footsie in honour of his late father Ras Wazair. With extensive backgrounds and a wealth of experience, Footsie & Sir Spyro will be bringing their unique styles and fresh talent to the stage, while Jah Model's masterful mic skills will keep the party going! During the extended 4-hour set you can expect to hear dubplates old and new, along with fresh new roots & dub productions, as well as cross-overs & grime.
Joined by a special guest Kahn, who became synonymous with a style that incorporated the raw, darker elements from within Dubstep and Grime music with influences from Dancehall, Goth and Middle Eastern musical traditions; resident DUKU as well as the local drum & bass tastemakers Tusk, DJ XS & Nu-Lo on the support duties.

After a huge break, our long-time favourite 30 Hz Soundsystem is back to power the Volks basement. Originating from the South Coast and operated by Tetris it used to be a regular in the early years of The Mine — we welcome the crew back with a modified rig with a recently rebuilt sub-bass section. You can expect an alternative set from Kahn who will be drawing for EBM & post-punk; a lesson across techno, acid & electro from Dimensions Festival & SUB DUB curator Simon Scott; and a showcase of productions & influences from Kutkh Jackdaw, Tetris and Ed Dub across all the genres and everything in-between.
