Born in Italy, based in Berlin, dj Lucy is one of the techno genre’s most exciting and ambitious DJ. Not bound to conventional pre-conceptions of what an electronic musician, producer, or DJ must be, Lucy has evolved their distinct sound signature by reconciling the deeply personal with the esoteric, and by harmonizing the spheres of technology and biology. In doing so, they has become rare as an artist, ability to please an audience while also introducing them to elements they were not yet familiar with and thereby pushing them out of their comfort zone.
Fxggxt, /ˈfæ.ɡət/, is a long time friend and collaborator of Ideophone Records. Hailing from Bergen's queer club scene, Fxggxt runs the club concept KINcKen at Fincken Bar, where he plays everything from stark minimal techno to steamy house and other electronic debauchery.
Julie Silset and Rudi Valdersnes run Ideophone Records and the label's club nights. While the club nights bring some of the most exciting and boundary breaking artists to Bergen, the two djs lay the ground work with their exquisite vinyl selection of hypnotic melodies and polyrhythmic beats, in the leftfield techno realm. This evening they will play a live-set together
Ideophone Records makes records for the adventurous listener. The club nights in Bergen have previously hosted artists like Nkisi, Authentically Plastic, Turkana, ZVUK's Nazira & E.T and others to Bergen.
