Republic Artists monthly party series is back at Chapeau Rouge Prague on Saturday 18th November! What Republic Artists label started fourteen years ago in London has settled in Prague for now, keeping connection with UK-based artists, special DJ guests, live acts and fresh blood from the local scene.
This time we should call the techno stage TRESOR floor as all DJs on the night performed at the mighty Tresor Berlin. Elektrabel who will share the decks with District 313 and Thomas Tesla got noticed by Jeff Mills in the early stage of his career which resulted in signing his first EP to 6277 (Axis sublabel), another 3 releases followed on the same label two years later. Elektrabel played all over the Czech Republic and internationally in respected clubs including Womb Tokyo and Tresor Berlin. Ben Klock included Elektrabel's track „Daje“ to his set at Dekmantel.
The DJ duo District 313 played for our Republic Artists partybefore, so we would like to introduce them properly this time, read on!
Michigan Skyline and Spiriakos, natives of Tábor living in Prague, became more prominent in the history of the dance scene at the beginning of 2010 when The Advent itself chose their production for his renowned label Kombination Research. Since then, as one of the few Czech techno producers, the duo has come to the attention of the world techno scene with several other releases, supported by icons such as Richie Hawtin, Kevin Saunderson, Dave Clarke, and Umek. This success was followed by performances at leading domestic indoor events and festivals, where their sets garnered a lot of positive feedback. An invitation to the legendary Berlin club Tresor, where they played in 2011 and 2013, came shortly afterwards.
After a long pause, during which each of them followed their musical path, they decided to join forces and established a joint techno project called "District 313".
Thomas Tesla, Gram Records Prague vinyl store and Republic Artists Records head honcho will close the night! Tesla is a frequent dj guest at Egg London and Golden Gate Berlin. Past gigs also include venues in Ibiza and across Europe.
On the second floor dedicated to underground house music, we welcome back Kozber from UK. Kozber is known for his eclectic sets with no strict music policy or genre borders. Kozber has released a number of EP's under different aliases most noticeable Regular Customer, Bonasforsa and Kozber, performed at Fabric London and across UK and Europe. Cubik will support Kozber on the same floor. Cubik runs his label and monthly party series Vivacity at Bukanyr Boat, two decades in the game and still going strong! To round off an already stellar lineup we have Ziggy and Indigo from Minimuzik doing b2b and house music gangster Milano Parsley on the third floor (main bar area) all night!
