• After seven months of existence, the Recursive party is hitting its stride. So much so the braintrust of Associate and yuzhuuu almost guessed the artists they were selecting for each other's floors. That is a hoot, right? Well we are both checking off some artists high on our "dream" list with this party as well. First is midwest techno legend, Paul Fleetwood. We do not use that adjective "legend" lightly either. Paul is a founding member of the Humanaut crew which began Pittsburgh's weekly Hot Mass parties. Yes, those ones in Pittsburgh that you keep saying you are going to go to. Beyond that world renowned party, he helps produce the yearly Honcho Campout and was instrumental in the production of the Great American Techno Festival. While that is likely enough to build a reputation, he is above all, a DJ. And not just any DJ. He has headlined and supported in the world's best rooms with Unter, Basement, and even Buttons in Germany. For this special night with us, we will give him complete control of the main room, playing an extended set of 4 hours, open to close. All you need to do is check some releases from his label Perimeter Junk (American techno par excellence) and listen to some of his fantastic output. Sounds good? Yes, it does. So now that we have your foot inside the Owl Room door, you likely want to know what is happening upstairs in the Stereo Bar. We tapped an old friend, great human, and ultra talented producer, Djoser. Djoser has had an acutely awesome 2023 with a featured mix on Truants Blog as well as a headlining slot for DC's biggest summer party. Also, ask him about his recent trip to Egypt and then about his favorite F1 teams. We are grateful to celebrate and host him in one of his banner years on this planet. Joining him in the Stereo Bar is Kouhai. Both Djoser and Kouhai are bass focused artists on the talented and congenial L.E.N.G. roster of stars. One of Kouhai's best attributes is their broad selection, paying homage to the classic tracks in the genre balanced with the cutting edge. Check this mix as evidence. A near everpresent face at *the good parties*Kouhai's,cheery disposition and devotion to craft make them a perfect fit for the beloved Owl Room second floor lounge. This night will also be important to Recursive because of events far removed from our party or the Owl Room. All proceeds from this night will go to Palestinian Children's Relief Fund. This organization has devoted 30 years to medical support for children across the Middle East. We will have more info and links in the coming weeks and encourage you to consider a contribution. Chiefly, we want to celebrate the season with all of the fine people who helped us create this night for heady dance music. If you have read this far, we definitely mean YOU. Presales will remain just 10 dollars. As always, if the door charge is an issue just send us a message. No questions asked.
