On the 7th December please join us for a night of live music at the south London institute that is Ormside Projects.
Action (live): Latest project from SELN founders Conrad Pack & DJ Gonz. Action leans heavily on grinding electronic systems - think Obscurum’s less dancefloor focused work. Pensive melodies are intertwined with distorted rhythms to give a sense of something spiritual, dense and all the while subtly sinister. Seeing is believing, yet hearing is the key.
Mosquito Farm (live): Formed of South Londoners Grace Black & Maddie Banwell who stand individually as visual artists in their own right. MF is their musical project, featuring an exquisite multitude of home-made instruments, mechanical devices and general electroacoustic machinery. Their output lies somewhere between the more abstract works of Coil and further industrial post-punk aesthetics, yet all the while with a feeling that their live performance may fall apart in quite simply the best way possible.
Kiran Sande (DJ): Founder of, amongst numerous other enterprises, Industrial cult label Blackest Ever Black, sorely missed record shop Low Company and most recently the dub-tekno research group Lost Domain. For years (generations?) Kiran has gone beyond the pale to shine a light on music which showcases the darkest energy in the room. Mr Sande will be soundtracking the night without prejudice.
