The Warehouse Rave returns for one last dance of the year, and it's our biggest yet. As a special Christmas gift, we're partnering with Mixmag Asia and bringing you THREE incredible headliners from all over the world for a rave in the purest sense! The Cambodia debut of these veteran DJs will tell an entire story of dance music, from funk and disco roots, to deep house, to full-on techno, all in the arc of one magical evening.
First up, SELECTRESS IRIELA, the New York-based queen of all things soul, funk, reggae and disco will get the fire started with an eclectic warmup set. DJing since the mid-90s, Iriela has worked with some of the greatest names in music -- such as A Tribe Called Quest, Lady Starlight, Chaka Khan, Louie Vega, DJ Spinna, The Wailers, and Mutabaruka -- and has graced the decks around the globe.
Next, we have one of the most respected names in house music from the United Kingdom, EDDIE LEADER, founder of Hudd Trax, one-third of the production group Slum Science, and manager of the legendary Hard Times label. Since the late 90s, he has worked closely with Nightmares on Wax, Jovonn, Chez Damier, Delano Smith, Matthew Herbert, DJ Sneak, JT Donaldson, and countless others. His own productions have been championed by the cream of the crop: Disclosure, Josh Wink, Ricardo Villalobos, Jamie Jones, Kerri Chandler, and Laurent Garnier, and have been featured on compilations from DJ Kicks, Fabric London, Defected, and BBC Radio.
As the night progresses and the heat rises, we introduce Mongolia's techno phenom BILIGUUDEI who will bring the peak time chills from the northern reaches of Asia. Since the 2000s, he has consistently contributed to both the Mongolian and Chinese electronic dance music scenes, acting as a bridge between these communities and the global stage. Just before the pandemic he was playing in the hottest clubs of Berlin and Amsterdam, and since he has been instrumental in developing the Mongolian electronic scene, producing several high-profile festivals and bringing Boiler Room for their first showcase in Ulaanbaatar. A stalwart of the underground, he works closely with the respected Giegling crew from Germany, and many of the world's top techno artists.
In true Warehouse Rave tradition, the night will be bookended by resident DJs Just.fin and Bytz. For a lineup this good, expect nothing less than our signature level production, lighting and custom sound system design from Dessert Discs Hi-Fi. Join us as we celebrate the final opus of 2023, with one of the most intriguing lineups Phnom Penh has ever seen!
