Norwegian label ́Badabing Diskos ́ takes a step into the surrounding forests of Oslo for the upcoming compilation ́Oslo Botanics ́, befriending the organic sounds of house music.
This first compilation EP presents a fresh bouquet of wildfowers with current connection to the Oslo underground scene. Although originating from quite different environments, ranging from the Norwegian mountains and Icelandic fjords, to the Colombian capital of Bogota, this group of herbalists seems to have a common interest for acid house, cowbells and dub effects.
On ́Stabburdans ́, the duo ́Anders Lyngen & Magnus JJ ́ starts of with a fungal groove that slowly bubbles from dubby swampland, firting with a slight rhythmic reference to the historic stiffness in norwegian dance traditions.
́Vogue Dip ́ brings an uplifting deephouse feel, driven forth by circulating acid loops and infectious rhythms, excellently produced by ́Duv Tales & Kim Young iLL ́.
́Casablanca 303 ́ makes well use of his skills in organic disco gardening, allthough never loosing sight of that classic house sound. ́When the swallows return ́ also shows off the producers melodic talent.
