On Feb 3rd 2024, Desert Sound Colony returns to Newcastle after four years away, bringing his signature fusion of bassbin rattlers to the Lubber Fiend’s bespoke Funktion One system.
Melding off-kilter rhythms, rugged breakbeats and twisted bass hybrids, the Holding Hands head honcho’s back catalogue reveals an affinity for the warped and the wicked. Cutting his teeth with a series of killer tracks on labels like Dungeon Meat, Unknown to the Unknown and On Loop, as well as his own imprint, he’s established himself as one of the UK’s most forward-thinking DJs and producers.
Reinforcements come courtesy of Late Night Drum Club’s SWIN, an established producer and DJ in his own right and Jude Race, local hero and capable crate digger.
