For more than two decades, Willits has been a guiding force in the evolution of deep listening in the Bay Area and beyond. Named “the center cell of a complex Venn diagram in the Bay Area” and “The Picasso of Sound”, Willits has crafted a prolific catalog of exquisite ambient electronic music. Moreover, his nonprofit organization, Envelop, which he both founded and directs, serves as a compelling blueprint for the future of immersive listening, while highlighting the profound social and emotional impact of music.
The evening begins with the ethereal sounds of Roziht Eve, followed by an ambient DJ set from one of SF’s top young producers, and founder of Vitamin 1k, Adware. Boreta will then mesmerize us with brand new in-progress music from his upcoming solo album. Fresh off his tour in Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand, Christopher Willits will perform compositions from his latest albums, “Gravity”, and “Sunset”, along with new improvisations inspired by his friend and collaborator Ryuichi Sakamoto. The energy rises and culminates with a DJ set from a very special guest: a dear friend of Willits and a long-time collaborator with the Robot Heart family.

Christopher Willits
Christopher Willits is a pioneering composer, guitarist, producer, visual artist, and co-founder & director of Envelop, a nonprofit with a mission to inspire and connect through immersive listening. As one of the core artists on the Ghostly International label since the early 2000s, Willits has navigated the field of contemporary ambient music with curiosity and ambition, realizing an acclaimed body of work that includes two albums with Japanese legend Ryuichi Sakamoto, collaborations with Taylor Deupree, Zach Hill, and his close friend Tycho. This driven yet gentle devotion to deep listening led him to the forefront of cutting-edge spatial audio production, a nascent technology at the time of his 2017 album Horizon, now adopted widely across the music industry. Willits operates with the conviction that music can create physical and emotional space for us to slow down and feel the present moment, which is the central intention of his latest album Gravity, his most personal and refined to date.
Boreta
Justin Boreta is a former member of The Glitch Mob, a beat-driven electronic group that has been touring for more than a decade performing around the world at festivals including: Coachella, Burning Man, Lollapolooza, Reading & Leeds and Bonnaroo. Boreta has collaborated with the spiritual teacher Ram Dass and Alan Watts on guided meditations and was recently nominated for a 2021 Grammy for Best New Age Album.

Roziht Eve
Roziht Eve is a San Francisco-based Taiwanese-American media composer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and self-produced singer-songwriter. She recently earned her Master’s degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in Technology and Applied Composition. She enjoys her continual exploration of genre-bending music influenced by sacred chants, Bach, Chopin nocturnes, Debussy, jazz, Enya, and EDM.
