Welcome 2024 with EAST Collective's XL events series at Paradiso Amsterdam's main room: Saturday 13th of January with the return of Remy Unger to EAST and Paradiso.
R͟E͟M͟Y͟ ͟U͟N͟G͟E͟R͟
Remy Unger is one of the original Dutch techno pioneers, and nearly three decades later, he still remains in the forefront of electronic music. Since the early 90’s, he has bombarded the scene with a steady flow of releases and remixes on labels like Bedrock, Additive and 68 Music. Moreover, his excellent selection and seemless mixing have earned him the reputation of one of Holland’s most reliable and remarkable DJs. But Remy is not one to look back. With several releases planned for labels like Pig & Dan’s Elevate, and collaborations with Warren Fellow and Nuno dos Santos unfolding as we speak, he’s far too busy looking ahead.
It all started in 1990, when Remy – hailing from The Hague – got his residency in Amsterdam’s iconic Roxy. It was one of the first clubs on the European mainland to embrace the American house and techno sounds. And this was also the place where Remy learned the craftsmanship of taking the dancefloor on a journey, making him one of Holland’s most in demand DJs. Records like his first, The Traveller (1992) and more importantly, Remy & Sven’s now classic Piano Power (1992) and Backstabber (1999) propelled him into the international scene. Since then, he has toured the world many times over, especially during the late 90’s and early 2000’s; leaving a trail of torn up dancefloors and fierce believers wherever he plays.
Understanding this craft like no other, Remy Unger is a musical force to be reckoned with.

Jayzo’s heart beats in sync with the underground rhythm of Amsterdam, where he is a trailblazer, introducing underground concepts such as Excess The Movement, Raving Charlie and East Techno Collective. In the heart of the city, he orchestrates regular events, stirring the soul of the metropolis. He holds residencies at Melkweg Amsterdam (Techno Tuesday Amsterdam) and Paradiso Amsterdam (with East). His reach extends beyond The Netherlands, a testament to his love for music shared with audiences in 30 countries, at techno hotspots around the world such as London, Berlin, Barcelona, Beirut, Goa, Shanghai, Monterrey, and more, where he's shared decks with several heavyweights from the global underground scene. Known for his dynamic sets, his sound, primarily raw, high-energy techno, is always infused with elements of progressive music, reflecting his undying passion for the genre.
L͟A͟D͟Y͟ ͟L͟A͟N͟T͟E͟R͟
DJ/producer Lady Lanter hails from Minsk and is now residing in Amsterdam. She is a resident of Modul art platform and is responsible for the curation of the Meta Modern (Amsterdam) promo group and label. Lady Lanter embraces metamodern culture, reflecting a postmodern cultural approach that responds to the complexities of modern life. This DJ is highly regarded for her unique sound, described as psychedelic underground. This Saturday, she is set to deliver an electrifying techno performance, which is inspired by her signature sound. This night promises to be an immersive musical experience that shouldn't be missed.
C͟O͟M͟P͟O͟U͟N͟D͟ ͟R͟H͟Y͟T͟H͟M͟
Compound Rhythm embarked on his voyage into electronic music in 2004 with the purchase of his first turntables, greatly influenced by Dutch trance DJs. Over time, his interest transitioned from trance to deep-house, ultimately finding Techno, the genre that he resonates with the most, in 2015. He got the opportunity to host 'Good Times Radio', a weekly radio show on Amsterdams Most Wanted, a task he still enjoys after five years.
Fast forward to 2019, Compound Rhythm made a monumental leap, becoming a resident at EAST Techno Collective. This pulsating weekly event was born at Panama Amsterdam and now rocks every Thursday at Club Roots and regularly at Paradiso Amsterdam. Reaching a thrilling pinnacle in his career, Compound Rhythm made his debut at the legendary club Paradiso Amsterdam during EAST Techno Collective XL in the summer of 2022. Techno has remained central to Compound Rhythm's career, driving a relentless rhythm, a compound rhythm if you will.
