Pounding disco beats alongside rattling bass sequences—rooted in Italo Disco, New Wave, and EBM. A dash of '80s, fused with the electroclash spirit of the 2000s, defines the new summer sound. The trio, Dina Summer, comprised of Local Suicide & Kalipo, disrupts conventions, propelling us into a fresh decade of dark disco. Edgy beats meet memorable melodies in perfect harmony with pop-infused hooks, all carried by Dina's unique voice.
Kalipo is one of the busiest and most stylistically complex producers in Berlin. He currently looks back on five albums and countless singles and remixes on labels like Christian Löffler’s Ki Records, Audiolith Records, Get Physical, Heimlich Musik, Laut & Luise, Stil vor Talent, Otake and Antime Records. While sometimes hard and dark, and other times sunny and soulful, his releases always bridge the gap between house, techno and disco. He consistently moves hearts and feet with his live sets and has been working his way into the amygdalas of listeners worldwide for over a decade through his releases, club performances and festival shows. When not on the road with his legendary electro punk band, Frittenbude, or his Italo EBM band Dina Summer, the sound of his solo project shines through with driving electronic beats and emotionally stirring melodies. Always unique, always DIY and with exclusively his own productions in his luggage, Kalipo builds an ecstatic sound in which you can only get lost in pleasure!
The never-stopping DJ & producer couple Local Suicide will take you on an eclectic and compelling journey through an array of electronic sounds representing the Berlin sound. Since meeting, Munich-born Brax Moody and Thessaloniki native Vamparela have collaborated together on various projects, all culminating in the conception of Local Suicide and their label Iptamenos Discos in Berlin. Local Suicide’s distinctive sound, is an energetic fusion of new wave, EBM, post disco and dark techno that they themselves have given the name technodisco, while Beatport declared them as one of the key figures in the uprising dark disco scene.
Léo Besso and Ivo Roxo have been companions for half of their lifetimes. They met at a ski camp, discovering a shared infatuation for skateboarding, snowboarding, and music. The duo quickly made a name for itself as DJs, playing at prestigious clubs and events such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, where they opened for Modeselektor in 2019. While the pandemic put a hold on their live performances, they gradually shifted towards production, focusing their energy on composition. The resulting tracks, sometimes penned under the pseudonym "Les Garçons," found their way onto multiple EPs released by Swiss and international labels and would also form the backbone of Psycho Weazel’s upcoming EP’s and album. As soon as clubs reopened in 2022, Léo and Ivo stormed stages all over Europe with a true showstopper, turning heads. Psycho Weazel’s allure extends beyond their music’s festive and hypnotic embrace; their effortless coolness and charming stage presence draw an ever-expanding audience.
Based in Berlin, Argentinian Skelesys is a versatile, ever-evolving and particularly cutting-edge artist. He’s a producer and live act with a strong musical background inspired by Hard Rock, Post-Punk, Synth Pop, science fiction and horror movies. His sound could be defined as haunted and effective, the result of a delicate and neat mixture of marked basses and guitar riffs always accompanied by thriller melodies and subtle grooves surrounded by darkness with a stripped down futuristic vibe.
