jano is a celebration of duality, where music artists explore multiple sides of their creative practice. it is named after janus, the two-faced roman deity of thresholds.
for each event, each artist is invited to play twice in the same night. their first set revolves around experimentation and live performance. the second set aims to create a dancefloor and to bring a higher energy.
for our first instalment on 26/01, susu laroche, nanzhen yang and abo abo join us at avalon cafe, presenting their many sides to the same audience.
