DJ Lyster runs the Manchester based record label YOUTH. It’s a label where likeminded artists such as Sockethead, FUMU and Blazer Soundsystem exist alongside Silvia Kastel, Ssiege and Yugen Disciple - a place that’s refreshingly removed from prevailing trends. Lyster’s DJ sets and occasional radio appearances share the same exploratory spirit, looking between the cracks for sounds, artists and moods that elude many other selectors. The sounds lean towards foggy techno, 5am ambient and abstract dub frequencies, always looking to the past and the future. He has previously made mixtapes for Collapsing Market, The Wire, Blowing Up The Workshop, Left Alone, Fact and more.
Paul David Rollmann aka Even Tuell began producing electronic music in the late 90s and released records on labels such as Out to Lunch, Workshop, Latency, Meakusma, Night Defined Records, a.o. He has held a DJ residency at the Robert Johnson Club, Offenbach since its early days and plays records across Europe and Asia.
PDR co-runs independent music imprint Workshop Records w/ J. Kuhn aka Lowtec. Since 2006, Workshop Records has cultivated more than 30 releases from international leftfield musicians such as Kassem Mosse, Move D, Viola Klein, Madteo, Willow, DJ Slyngshot, YPY... a.o.
