Introducing our first Sheffield Machine Soul date of 2024. On 2/2 NTS legend Macca will be making his Sheffield debut!!
Those of you who’ve listened to NTS in the past 8+ years will have certainly come across Macca’s One Glove show, which is now a coveted fixture every Saturday morning. Macca’s selections span deep and vast across a dizzying array of styles, always delivered with warmth, soul and personality. We heard him playing classy deep and soulful house at We Out Here 2023, in 2022 he blew the roof off the Lemon Lounge with leftfield soulful nuggets that left Shazam guessing. We’ve wanted to book him ever since! Also a regular feature for Baltic Weekender, Secret Sundaze fest and a whole host of London based pop-ups.
On warmup duties we have Yarni - one of Sheffield’s finest producers and multi-instrumentalists will be treating us to a DJ set. Yarni’s releases span afro centric grooves, house, funk, folk, ambient and far beyond. Go and check out the Albers EP for a full flavour! His discerning ear for melody and rhythm always translates to a dance floor. He’ll get it cooking just right for us.
Party hosts Sirrey and Benedict will be closing out proceedings on this one.
