It Goes Deeper
The launch night for the blog 'It Goes Deeper' hosted upstairs at Sophbeck on August Bank Holiday sunday, a night of deep and tech house, brought to you by the resident DJs for four of the top house nights in Leicester, Sonido, Gritter Underground, City Fly and Minimal. On the night expect a bigger sound system blaring out the music for your aural pleasure, a few free mix CDs to take home and who knows what else.
The night will feature the talents of Sonido residents Jon Brooks, who are made up of Jon Samwell and Will Brooks, a duo that work extremely well together and consistently play outstanding sets. They have built up quite a reputation for themselves, expect deep tech house, these boys know good music. If you want that last statement confirming, then just check out there mixes on www.itgoesdeeper.wordpress.com, they have had a couple of mixes featured on the blog, and they don't disappoint. Jon Brooks are starting to produce there own stuff soon, so watch out.
Next on the lineup are two lads, Rio and HoH, who together run Gritter Underground along with the third member Rogan, one of Leicester's best house nights, pushing the sounds of tech house, with previous bookings including Michael James from Zoo Project and Kevin Griffiths, label boss of Tsuba records. These two put out great mixes, recently i was handed their promo cd, containing original material from both of them, all of which impressed. Each of them bring there own taste and style to the DJ booth, its going to be very interesting, do not miss this.
It Goes Deeper is proud to introduce to you, Jonny Parker, one of the lads behind City Fly, which has to be the best Deep House night in Leicester and further afield. This lad knows his music, expect deep house, nu disco, and plenty more, having supported some seriously big talents in Leicester like Motor City Drum Ensemble, Kris Wadsworth, and MJ Cole, I'm pleased to say he'll be playing for the launch of the blog.
Last on the line up, and finishing it off nicely see's one of Leicester's most notable underground house talents brought to sophbeck in the form of DJ/producer, Amadeus. He is making some fantastic deep tech house and techno at the minute and putting out some seriously deep mixes. The man behind the blog, and putting this night on, Amadeus promotes the monthly night at sophbeck Minimal, which pushes the deeper side of house and techno, this year has seen him play alongside the likes of Clive Henry, Jamie Jones and Terry Francis to name a few, and now alongside some of leicester's finest DJs.
It Goes Deeper prides itself on promoting Leicester's very own talent, the DJs, Producers and nights they play for, putting out mixes, tracks and everything else for you to enjoy.
