At the end of July, the Monegros Desert Festival will once again come to life, transporting its more than 50,000 attendees to a unique audiovisual universe with the promise of leaving an indelible mark for a lifetime.
With its impressive production, sound, and innovative architectures, once again, Monegros is committed to providing the most radical, extreme, and immersive experience that a desert festival can guarantee. It offers a compelling 22-hour uninterrupted sonic experience with over 150 artists performing across a wide variety of musical genres, including hip-hop, techno, dub, reggae, trance, drum and bass, and the highly anticipated psy trance, featuring a new exclusive stage dedicated to this genre.
Juan Arnau highlights the festival's commitment to its audience, emphasizing the dedication to delivering 22 frenetic hours of creativity and enjoyment. The addition of a new stage exclusively dedicated to psy trance reflects their ongoing effort to expand musical genres.
Recently, the festival surprised everyone with an impressive lineup announcement, revealing over 80 names comprising 70% of its lineup. Now, it's time to unveil the remaining 30% of this incredible journey through various rave culture sounds.
Among the artists joining to complete the festival's incandescent lineup are Chase & Status, a British duo recently awarded "Producer Of The Year" at the BRIT Awards, set to deliver a live set blending breakbeat, dubstep, and drum and bass.
Monegros maintains its commitment to showcasing diverse sounds, with Victor de la Serna, the Music Director, expressing excitement about representing a wide range of genres, including techno, hip-hop, drum and bass, dub, house, disco, and the popular psy trance.
National hip-hop talent like Natos y Waor will return, along with debut performances from Astrix, the world's top psytrance DJ, and Dj Tennis, a charismatic house producer.
The lineup also features renowned artists like Eats Everything, Chelina Mahuhutu, tINI, James Hype, Traumer, José Rodriguez, Fox Stevenson, and Hugel, promising a diverse musical experience.
This year, the festival celebrates its 31st birthday with an increase in the number of stages, resulting in more artists and a prominent focus on B2B sets featuring renowned duos like Assailants, Chris Liberator b2b D.A.V.E The Drummer, and others.
Resident artists like De La Swing, Marc Maya, Ion Pananides, Alex Pott, and Baum contribute to the festival's identity with their musical genius.

We are a multidisciplinary festival that encompasses different artistic modalities, from music to urban art. Each year, the desert hosts architectural elements, installations, scenographies, different sound systems, and impossible missions.
Our mission is to build an ephemeral city that appears and disappears in just 24 hours; a whole oasis of chaos represented by different disciplines, where new creative minds from all over planet Earth collaborate.

As we never stop innovating, this 2024, our Techno Cathedral will continue evolving into an even more creative engineering masterpiece.
Without a doubt, this project has been the most complex to date, and for its creation, we have had numerous teams from all corners of the planet; Saga Corp from Brazil, the best creative team that exists in South Africa — led by Carin Dickson— engineers from Barcelona, and one of the best companies for installing structures worldwide.
Scenic Decorations
The Monegros desert offers us the opportunity to grow creatively year after year. This is the reason for building stages that can continue growing and evolving for the next three years.
The Sound System Temple, our main stage, will evolve to transform into an authentic industrial city in the middle of nowhere. This temple pays tribute to the legendary illegal RAVEs with the iconic speakers from the 90s. A stage 80 meters long and 20 meters high with a capacity for 20,000 people.
The year 2024 will mark the arrival of an expanded and creatively enhanced Sound System Temple. This city of speakers is in a continuous phase of construction!
Radical Sound: Audio
Monegros, being a desert, allows us to play with the frequency and volume of sound more than anywhere else.
With optimal conditions for sound, we decided to work with different brands, equipment, and configurations to have an unparalleled sound experience.
Monegros is a benchmark, and therefore, brands have the opportunity to showcase their latest innovations and show their fans what they are capable of.
The audience will be able to feel and choose their favorite sound, as well as evaluate each of them.
For this, we have the best brands in the world, such as L-Acoustic, Clair Brothers, Void and Funktion One, Adamson, etc.
Video Mapping: Visual
One of the main objectives of Monegros is to provide impactful and extreme audiovisual content.
As if by magic, in Monegros, the stages come to life during the night thanks to the talent of the best video mapping artists worldwide. This community works tirelessly to create unique and unforgettable audiovisual elements that will be projected through more than 16 projectors of 50,000 lumens distributed in various stages of the festival.
Scenic Arts: Experience
Every year, the desert is the stage for a wide selection of street theater companies from all corners of Europe, and they are the ones who bring magic to the festival. These companies are responsible for creating those WOW moments you will never forget. In Monegros, we welcome all imaginable forms of scenic expression. Get ready to immerse yourself in an explosion of creativity!
Impossible Missions
Without a doubt, we are passionate about challenges and adventures. In 2022, we decided to carry out a bold feat: moving an Airbus A380 to the desert. It took months of hard work, requiring it to be divided into four parts to be transported by roads and highways. Once in the desert, we assembled it and transformed it into our secret stage.
In 2023, this space witnessed the most exciting performances by 20 artists, both national and international. Next year, in 2024, 800 lucky ones will have the opportunity to experience an almost private party in this club known for surprising its attendees.
