The Bridge is an ALL TECHNO, ALL VINYL event series.
Its purpose is to preserve the art of mixing real records, maintaining a cultural connection between major North American cities, and beyond.
The artists for this edition are:
Juan Evangelista (Tremsix, Enux | Barcelona)
Originally from Argentina and now based in Barcelona, Spain, Juan Evangelista has been devoted to promoting underground techno for the past decade. In the present chapter of his musical career, his focus has been on music production and the greater use of vinyl records. His sound has been described as exploring abstract and archaic rhythms, always being faithful to the principles of classical techno.
Monika Janek (Toronto)
As a teenage DJ startup in the 90s, Monika spent hours in the basement on direct drive decks, absorbing the sounds of Detroit. As DJ Elektra, Monika has since played alongside many of her key influences with a career highlight in Berlin at Tresor's "New Faces". She has a passion for dropping techno & electro on three decks and enjoys sculpting her own sound in the studio using analog hardware.
Marivs (Resource, Blast | Toronto)
Perfectionist and purist, Marivs has been gaining esteem for his meticulous mixing and for the delicate, driving hypnosis he puts people under from behind the decks. Marivs began DJing before the days of social media and has a deep respect for authentic underground culture. His vision is to expose his audience to the true values of techno.
