Freddy K steps up for BASEMENT’s first-ever all night set. He was last in the building to celebrate the club’s anniversary, and his highly focused, uncompromising approach makes him an exemplar of the vision of techno the club is most aligned with. A foundational force in Italy’s electronic music scene since the early ‘90s, Freddy’s vinyl-heavy sets are absolute masterclasses of unflinching determination and huge, impactful energy. He harnesses the storm like few can - an all night set will be one for the books.
The Carry Nation return to STUDIO. The duo of Will Automagic and Nita Aviance has established themselves as regulars, and it’s no surprise why. Their facility with every form of house music and quicksilver telepathy makes them one of NY’s most exciting duos. Soaring, front-and-center classics, tribal house rollers and deep, twisted freakouts are stitched together seamlessly. Jacob Meehan is back as well. The Buttons and Whole Festival co-founder drives it home with slamming, tasty groove rides that wind through jumping Chicago house, disco energy and gloriously tweaked minimal. Makadsi balances out the night with some fabulous roughness. The Function resident is a true rave activator. Drawing on his Lebanese roots and a fiery house energy, Makadsi keeps it tuff.
