Hunee, a Berlin-based artist in its truest sense, is set to host 5 intimate music journeys at Phonox, every Friday in March 2024.
It’s been 15 years since Rush Hour staple Hunee first reared onto the scene (and 8 years since he first worked the Phonox dancefloor). His growth from playing small, sweaty clubs to headlining all the best festivals around the world has been a privilege to both witness, and play a part in, over the years.
A selector with compelling charisma, Hunee’s distinctive, infectious grin and genuine love for the music has has pushed him up - and kept him at the top - of the scene. He uses music as his paintbrush to create some of the most uplifting atmospheres imaginable at the world’s ultimate clubs and festivals, transcending all notions of genres and borders in the process. A pure DJ capable of captivating dancefloors from the first record to the last, his talent has only been amplified in recent years.
Hunee's contributions to the scene extend far beyond his DJ performances. His productions, featured on labels like Rush Hour, Future Times, and W.T., further emphasise his status as an artist. Each track, characterised by a kinked funk, a true sense of soul and lovable house heritage influences reflects his considered approach to music creation.
In his first UK residency since 2019, these 5 weeks at Phonox will highlight the evolution of his artf since he first played at the club — though at its core, the deep-digging approach to his selections, with an emphasis on the joyous, playful and euphoric, has remained unchanged.
