PUREHAZE is holding its second party of the year at Aaja's brand new basement space in Deptford, which will open in February. Our headliner 'Soreab' released his latest EP 'Maschera' last November on the 'Baroque Sunburst label' which he co-founded with Big Hands. With a personal music background, informed by dance, progressive and techno, which goes back to early teenage years, his diverse productions gravitate around UK bass, grime, dubstep, drum & bass, tribal and IDM. His selections traverse the boundaries of genres dancehall, jungle, and dub, styles that PUREHAZE strongly identifies with.
In addition to Soreab, the lineup for this party includes TAKKER, Dogfish, Megumi, and Aidan, all well-known members of PUREHAZE LONDON. TAKKER, who has an encyclopedic knowledge of Jamaican dancehall music from classic to the latest, Dogfish, who sublimates the musicality he absorbed from his Jamaican grandfather, a DJ in London, into his own jungle sound, Megumi, who plays Afro Latin-inspired club beats with her sunny selection, and, Aidan, who explores a variety of low-tempo sounds, always keeping a danceable element. Each will bring their own interpretation of Jamaican sound system culture and warm up the floor for Soreab.
