レーベル / クリエイティブ集団 HOLE AND HOLLAND のレジデントのパーティ COMPASS が、初来日公演となる Balam をヘッドライナーに迎えて WOMB TOKYO にて開催決定。
東京発のレーベル / クリエイティブ集団 HOLE AND HOLLAND と、WOMB レジデントパーティ COMPLEXSTORE、そして Hand Pan 奏者であり Forest Beat Studio を主宰するプロデューサーの Reo Matsumoto が手がけるパー ティ COMPASS が 2/10( 土 ) に WOMB にて開催。
ワールド & エレクトロニック・ミュージックに重点を置き、独自のラテンアメリカなサウンドを Multi Culti、Pets Records、Get Physical 等のレーベルからリリースを重ねる Balam が今回ヘッドライナーとして初来日。
そして各フロアには、ドープネスパーティ BLACK FOREST 主宰し、ヒプノティックでディープなサウンドをヴァイナルでプレイする DJ KURI、ディープで先鋭的なダンスミュージックのパーティー探心音を開催している DJ SHIBATA や、自在なグルーブ・コントロールでフロアを瞬く間にピークタイムへ誘う DJ/Producer の SUNGA、昨年 Playground Records から自身のデビュー EP をリリースしヨーロッパツアーを成功させた Gem Willow、名古屋アンダーグラウンド最深部からディープ・ハウス、ジャズ、ソウル、ヒップホップを抜群のサウンド & フロア・センスで自由に巡らせる DJ/Producer の TAIHEI が登場。
レジデントとなる HOLE AND HOLLAND からは、レーベル SABI を主宰する Mamazu、YO.AN、FUSHIMING、 Haruka Katagata、昨年のデビュー EP リリース以降、バリ島 Klymax Discotheque でのプレイをはじめ各地で目覚しい活躍を見せる COURTNEY BAILEY といったメンバーが一同に集結する。
The Compass party, hosted by the label/creative collective Hole and Holland and featuring Balam in his debut performance in Japan, is set to take place at Womb Tokyo.
Compass, orchestrated by the Tokyo-based label/creative group Hole and Holland, Womb's resident party Complexstore, and handpan player and producer Reo Matsumoto of Forest Beat Studio, will be held at Womb on February 10th. Balam, headlining the event, is known for his unique Latin American sound and has released music on labels like Multi Culti, Pets Records, and Get Physical.
The event also features DJ Kuri, who heads the dope party Black Forest and plays hypnotic, deep vinyl sounds, DJ Shibata who organizes the exploratory dance music party Tanshinon, and DJ/Producer Sunga, known for his dynamic groove control. Gem Willow, who released his debut EP last year on Playground Records and successfully toured Europe, and Taihei, a DJ/Producer from Nagoya's underground scene known for his deep house, jazz, soul, and hip-hop, will also perform.
Representing Hole and Holland will be Mamazu, head of the label Sabi, Yo.An, Fushiming, Haruka Katagata, and Courtney Bailey, who has made a notable impact since her debut EP release last year, including playing at Bali's Klymax Discotheque.
