Might Be Magic is thrilled to have Berlin-based DJ and producer Fort Romeau right here in Austin for our unofficial SXSW party. More details and official lineup to come soon~ get your tickets early! You are not going to miss this one- get ready to traverse through a new world of sound. Since debuting in 2012 after a career as La Roux’s keyboardist, British producer Michael Greene aka Fort Romeau has developed a unique take on dancefloor music, fusing elements of house, kraut, ambient, disco, and techno. Fort Romeau approaches dance music with the sensibilities of a songwriter and even his clubbiest tracks are infused with heart-felt melodies, intricate textures and contemporary sounds that encapsulate the vibrant energy of the dance floor as a haven of solace. Fort Romeau’s prolific discography has been met with widespread acclaim through releases under the likes of Ghostly International, Live At Robert Johnson, Permanent Vacation, Running Back, as well as his own label Cin Cin. No stranger to the long form DJ set, known for his live 6 hour podcast for Dekmantel and playing all night at clubs like Lisbon’s LUX as well as closing sets at Berlin’s Panorama Bar, we are extremely excited to see what he brings to his set on the MBM decks for an all-night-long affair. Come early and stay late!
