On March 15, BASSIANI is set to host live performances by iconic Modern Love label artists Sean Canty and Miles Whittaker, a British experimental electronic music duo who sculpt obscure masterworks under the Demdike Stare moniker. Inspired by the occultist ethos, they perform ethereal and foreboding soundscapes, conjuring an otherworldly atmosphere steeped in mysticism, and Andy Stott, a luminary in the electronic music realm, brings his brooding, neo-futuristic creations to the stage. Stott's discography reads like a manifesto of sonic innovation, drawing inspiration from a myriad of genres, including dub-techno, Detroit techno, grime, hyperactive footwork, house, and industrial music. Masterpiece albums like "Luxury Problems," "Faith in Strangers," and "Too Many Voices" serve as true testaments to his boundary-pushing artistry. Playing alongside are the unique storyteller HVL, Shin Records founder Newa, and the vivid record collector, Monnom Black label founder Dax J, whose marathon sets represent bold journeys into the pulsating world of techno.
