アーティスト、レーベル・オーナー、オーガナイザー等々としての顔も持つ面々によって組織されたプロジェクト「ANGRY WAVES」が、新たな都市型の屋内音楽フェスティヴァル「FORTUNA」を始動。初回となる「FORTUNA 2024」が2月24日（土）に東京・代官山 UNIT / B1FLAT / SALOONの3会場を使用した回遊スタイルのナイトタイム・イベントとして開催されます。
同公演には、ベテランから新鋭、未だ観ぬアクト（cityofbrokendolls + 西本克利 / NISHIMOTO IS THE MOUTH + Toshimuraの公安、DJ NobuとDOLTZによるOmega Pointは本公演がプレミア）まで総勢27組が出演。演奏 / 選曲といった表現形態、カテゴライズされ得る分野、世代の差異を越境したラインナップは、瞥見には無作為と受け取られるかもしれません。公演そのものの概要も、猛烈な速度で膨張 / 拡散する各種ジャンルを特定の意図で繋ぐ祭典や、ある“界隈”のショウケースではありません。すなわち、便利なキャッチコピーとなるような単語を伴わない会合です。しかしながら、その事実自体が「ANGRY WAVES」および賛同した出演陣の態度 / 意志表示と受け取れますし、当代の“シーン”なるものを映し出しているとも言えます。その特性故に、遊びの猛者からヌーブを自覚する小心者までが思うままに楽しめる、幅広く開かれた場となることが予想されます。
代官山 zaHOUSE内に居する3会場での回遊は否が応でも音を提供しますが、クエストの中途では出店するアパレル・ブランド「SLAVEARTS」でのショッピングや、東京・幡ヶ谷のカレー店「CURRY & SPICE 青い鳥」の堪能も可能です。
“回遊”という単語に“回”が含まれているのはとても重要です。ローマ神話の女神・フォルトゥーナ（Fortuna）は、タロットでおなじみの“運命の輪（Wheel of Fortune）”を携えています。車輪は回転と摩擦によって、エネルギーを熱と前進の力へと変換するツール。ご来場者が各々の意志によってUNIT / B1FLAT / SALOONを動き回り、その交差によってもたらされるエネルギー散逸が轍をどこかしらへと導くことでしょう！
Demi-anonymous collective “ANGRY WAVES”, run by an artist, an administrator of a label, a show organizer launch new urban in-door festival “FORTUNA”. The first edition “FORTUNA 2024” takes place at UNIT, B1FLAT and SALOON (all venues are in the same building “Za HOUSE” on multiple floors) located in Daikanyama, Tokyo during night time on Saturday February 24th.
“FORTUNA 2024” features 27 acts from long-standing legendary artist to raging new comer, as well as yet-unseen 公安 (pronounce KO-AN: cityofbrokendolls + Katsutoshi Nishimoto / NISHIMOTO IS THE MOUTH + Toshimura) and Omega Point: Live (DJ Nobu&DOLTZ, Bitta) play their world premiere set on that day.
To catch a glimpse of representation through performance and selection of music, a certain field can be categorized, a full line-up among a wide range of ages and gender parity may be deemed as random act. An outline and a concept of the festival can’t be an intentional connector between certain genre of hyper accelerated expansion and diffusion, nor a showcase of some specific scene at all. In other words, “FORTUNA 2024” is a meeting that has no useful tag or copy to describe itself. However, those facts show definitive attitude of “ANGRY WAVES” and all of the artists who are going to play, also to reflect current ‘scene’clearly. To think of that festival’s character, warm welcome and open-minded atmosphere to both an experienced night clubber and a fidgety noob can be expected.
While hopping three venues and quest for various kind of music, you can enjoy shopping at pop-up store of apparel brand “SLAVEARTS??”or fine late night meal at “CURRY & SPICE 青い鳥 (pronounce AOI-TORI: from Hatagaya, Tokyo) overnight.
It is important that a Japanese word ‘回遊’(pronounce KAIYU: mean ‘migration’, ‘hopping’) has kanji-alphabet ‘回’(pronounce KAI: ‘round’, ‘encircle’). “Fortuna the goddess” of Roman mythology carries Wheel of Fortune. With gyration and friction, wheels can generate energy, heat and power. Every show participant with Wheel of Fortune shall move around UNIT, B1FLAT and SALOON by themselves, to cross each other there, then some energy could be generated, and that will lead everyone somewhere beyond.
