A Friend of Marcus burst onto the scene in 2017 with his debut track “She Who Annihilates,” featured on Henry Saiz’s Balance presents Natura Sonoris compilation. The release gained praise, with a remix by Petar Dundov. Subsequent releases including a remix of Depaart’s “Blowing Smoke” on Sasha’s Last Night on Earth and “The Distant Water Beyond” on Booka Shade’s Blaufield, garnered support from industry heavyweights.
In 2021, his track "Cepish" on Renaissance earned acclaim from notable DJs and charted on Beatport. As a DJ, he's performed globally including at renowned venues and festivals such as Epizode Festival in Vietnam and D-Edge in Sao Paulo. His mixes and music have been featured on various platforms like Radio 3 and John Digweed’s Transitions.
