- Danou P is a refreshing blast from the past: a DJ, producer and musician whose blossoming career has been built on nothing more than a mixture of talent and hard work. The Rotterdam- based DJ/producer’s trademark sound, explored both in his productions and DJ sets, explores his love of funky and soulful sounds, frequently drawing on a variety of interconnected styles including disco, boogie and deep house. Danou is best-known as Chicago House legend Jamie 3:26’s regular studio partner, with the pair first establishing a global reputation via a string of remixes for labels including Glitterbox, Soul Clap Records, Rekids and Big Love. Their first collaborative EP, What It Is, appeared in 2022 on Dan Shake’s label and earned wholehearted support from Honey Dijon and the Blessed Madonna. Danou released his first solo EP, Allez Hoop, on 3:26 Records this year and you can expect more records in the months and years ahead from Danou defining his uniquely personal take on warm, soul-fired, instrumentally expansive dance music.
