Tonight, we cavort in the darkness, little imps. Starting the night off: NYC’s Sissies of Mercy, a duo (of DJs Fruitbat and Vileblood) known to combine their individual powers in EBM, Industrial, old school goth and atmospheric techno for sets that speak to the beauty and mirth of what lurks in the shadows. Riding in after comes Orphx (Rich Oddie and Christina Sealey) with their pioneering rhythmic experimental noise, a sound that creates a dramatic, spirited atmosphere guaranteed to release the purest elation across the room. For closing we’ve a special live set from Light Asylum, ie Shannon Funchess, who has been a commanding force in the realm of darkwave for nearly 20 years. Her honorific style of synthpop and post-punk builds a portal to another dimension and we can’t wait to lose ourselves in it. Down below, party series Agapē takes over with a lineup of brooding, fiendish DJs who’ll craft a thick fog of heavy techno.
