Pleasure Jams are taking over the soundsystem on March 30 and have invited a handful of friends to get the party started with them. They will be joined by Laila Amira in the main room plus Rose Kourts and Russell E.L. Butler in the Bad Room.
Brooklyn DJ collective Pleasure Jams (Stewey Decimal, Allie Bell, and Marosy) have been dispensing danceable delights all over NYC and the world for the better part of a decade. Expect chunky house sluggers, sluggy chunk housers, and a grab bag of blissful jams from deep down inside.
Laila Amira is a BK-based DJ known for her ability to get people out of their heads and into their bodies through her dynamic selections.
Immersed in the euphoric realms of disco, house, techno, and electro melodies, Laila Amira draws inspiration from the vibrant pulse of New York City's nightlife to sculpt a sonic haven where reality surrenders to rhythm.
Rose Kourts is a Brooklyn-based DJ, radio host, and organizer known for electrifying dance floors and airwaves alike with dynamic selections that reflect deep digging sensibilities and a love and respect for the underground. She has a monthly Lot Radio resident show GEMS, is a co-founder and resident of DIY renegade party Sweet Kicks, and is the head of local club night NOW.
Russell Ellington Langston Butler is a Black artist from Bermuda, living and working in New York City. Russell has painstakingly cultivated a unique artistic expression that integrates and investigates themes around process, technological innovation, the archive, and decolonization. Their works have taken the form of vinyl records, digital audio releases, live A/V performances, and special archiving projects.
